Early Spring

The other day, when spring had *just* started to peep out of the ground, I ran outside in the rain with my camera to try to capture it.  Here are some of the pictures I took...

I love my red rubber boots.  I am sad that they are now covered in scuff marks... But hey, that means they're loved, right? 

Waiting in the Rain

Rain drops on the windshield always remind me of ants:  Quick and seemingly purposeful, choosing their path quickly and working together to get things done.  When there's nothing else to do, rain on the windshield leaves much to the imagination...  What does it make you think?

We have a walnut tree in our yard.  But quite honestly, I have no idea how you are supposed to get that thick green coating off of the outside of them... Any ideas?

Angel Chime

We have this set of wind chimes that looks like angels, all slightly tinted in pink and purple colors... Rusted over, from time, wind, and rain.  I love wind chimes; the music in the wind.  They remind me of precious times gone by and add a smile to every moment they move.

Spider

Taking this picture was an adventure; I don't like spiders.  At all.  But I will confess... I'm pretty proud of this picture.  Maybe because it's awesome... or maybe because I got close enough to take it, and I'm amazed at my own courage.  Not sure.

Drip, Drop

I love the rain.  Taking this picture meant walking around outside in my red rubber boots, snapping photos of rain drops on the tips of leaves and listening to the rain getting caught in the trees.  

The air is so fresh after a good rain... I can't get enough of it.  Glad rain is in the forecast for various times during the rest of my life; I hope I always love it the way I do now.
